On the second page, Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk expresses his happiness on receiving a letter from her, mentions that he had been miserable when Surur had stopped writing to him, and he is so happy now that he is writing this letter while in bed with a fever and will send it with one of the orderlies in the morning.
